Scope for Imagination

Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?

Sand Dollar, Crushed

Did you mean to leave me here?
Would you have gone if you had known I would ask?
You found me in the driest beach sand
a sand dollar not close to whole
But you were not looking for perfection.
We sat as the sand cooled
and stayed until the sun warmed the sand again...
Now the air is cold without you
I became a shattered piece
of everything I wanted to be.
